4 Days
Let us take you on a 4-day adventure around Iceland via famous Road #1. Heading East from Reykjavík you will fully encircle Iceland stopping along the way to admire beauty of the island and take part in various activities. On the first day of the tour, you will follow the South Coast through the glacier lands by Eyjafjallajökull volcano and Vatnajökull glacier, visit the amazing waterfalls Skogafoss, Seljalandsfoss and the secret Gljufrabui, as well as the Black beach of Reynisfjara before continuing all the way to the Skaftafell National Park, where in the summer time (April-October) you can try yourself and hike on the glacier. On the following day, you’ll visit iconic Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon and nearby Diamond Beach. Next on the itinerary is mountain Vestrahorn - the most instagrammable one in Iceland and scenic drive through the eastern fjords, an area known for their abundance of reindeer’s, puffins and deep fjords with huge mountains. During summer time (April-October) you will have a chance to explore stunning Studlagil canyon with the biggest basalt columns collection in Iceland, while during winter time (November-March) you can explore natural Blue Ice Cave laying underneath Vatnajokull - the biggest glacier in Europe. This day ends up in Egilsstadir, the capital of East Iceland. There you can take a dip in unique geothermal floating pools while enjoying the view over Urridavatn lake. During day 3 we will continue through moon-alike landscapes located in the North. Drive along Mývatn Lake and North Coast with stops at the most powerful waterfall in Europe called Dettifoss, nearby Selfoss waterfall, Hverir Geothermal Fields and Grjotagja Geothermal Cave just to name a few. This area is known for its high geothermal activity, numerous hot springs and mud lakes. There you will go for good hikes and visit Green lagoon for a relaxing time in the natural baths (optional). Last stop is at waterfalls of Gods – Godafoss. Last day of this tour starts with exploring Akureyri. Enjoy the atmosphere of this remote town laying in the deep fjord, with charming buildings and famous church dominating over the city. Once leaving the urban area we will head North to the village called Dalvik to embark the boat searching for whales (optional). This area is known for its unusually high presence of many representatives of these mammals. Then it is time to jump on the bus again and turn direction to Reykjavik. Along the way we will visit the rock Hvitserkur, the Icelandic Seal Center near Hvammstangi and Kolugljufur Canyon. It is the perfect tour for those who want to explore and see the best attractions of Iceland and experience an adventure without having to worry themselves about getting around and would rather relax and watch the scenery than focus on the road. Taking a ring road tour gives you also a possibility to spot the most unique spectacle of mother nature – Northern Lights dancing above the sky. Northern Lights season starts in late September and usually lasts until the end of March. Our guide will inform you about the possibilities to see them if they appear during the tour. During this tour, you will see all the best that Iceland has to offer! You will visit many of the best-known tourist places in Iceland, but you will also stop at places which are our best-kept secrets, where you can avoid the crowds and discover places in Iceland to call your own. On your first day you will travel along the South Coast to admire the stunning waterfalls of Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss, as well as the secret Gljufrabui. You will also visit Vatnajokull, the largest glacier in Europe, and unique black beach Reynisfjara near the village of Vík. From April to the end of October you can also experience what it is like to walk on a glacier under the care of an experienced glacier guide. Second day continues through the East Coast. First on the itinerary is visit at Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon. During summer months (May-October) you can take a closer look at floating icebergs during an Amphibian boat tour, while during winter (November-March) you can jump in a superjeep on the journey to discover natural a Blue Ice Cave. The nearby Diamond Beach is a must-see-place while visiting this beautiful country – no matter the season the view over the satin black sand beach decorated by melting ice chunks looks equally stunning. On this day you will also visit the Vestrahorn Mountain, the Lagarfljot Lake inhabited by the Icelandic version of Loch Ness monster and Studlagil Canyon just to name a few attractions. Your journey through the coastline takes you along narrow fjords, endless green valleys and charming fishing villages. On Day 3 you will travel through a totally unique landscape around Lake Mývatn, shaped by extremely high volcanic activity. There you will go for good hikes around geothermal fields with bubbling mud pots, countless craters, hot springs and even inside the geothermal cave of Grjotagja. During the scenic drive through northern parts of Iceland you will also stop to admire three amazing waterfalls; Dettifoss (the most powerful waterfall in Europe), Selfoss and Godafoss (waterfall of the Gods). The day ends in Akureyri – the capital of Northern Iceland. You will start Day 4 by kicking off from Akureyri heading north to the village called Dalvik, where you can embark on a boat searching for whales in the beautiful Eyjafjordur. This area is known for its unusually high presence of many representatives of whales, unlike in many other parts of Iceland. In Hvammstangi there is even more wildlife waiting for you. You will visit the Icelandic Seal Center – award winning museum run by a non-profit organization focusing on protecting these cute mammals. In addition to the wildlife watching you will also be able to admire the picturesque Hvitserkur rock and Kolugjlufur canyon. On the last day you will see some real classics. You will drive following the Golden Circle route to admire Gullfoss the beautiful “Golden waterfall”, the active geothermal area of Geysir, where you can see Strokkur spout up to 25 meters every five to seven minutes, old Icelandic Parliament area in Thingvellir National Park and Kerid Volcanic crater that tops it off before returning to Reykjavík. The maximum number of passengers on this tour is 19 which creates a more personal and enjoyable experience for our guests.

This all-encompassing six-day tour takes you to every region in Iceland on the Ring Road and deep into the heart of West Iceland, too, starting with an adventure on the South Coast with its stunning waterfalls and black sand beaches, plus an option to hike your way across a glacier. The second day takes us to the glittering iceberg lagoon at Jokulsarlon, where you will have the chance to take a boat trip around the icebergs or go ice-caving beneath the glacier. From there, we will whisk you through the peaceful landscapes of the Eastfjords with stops at Vestrahorn, the old fishing of Djupivogur, and, in summer, the breathtaking Studlagil Canyon before an overnight stay in Egilsstadir. The third day brings us to Myvatn, an area well-known for active geothermal hotspots and magical places such as Grjotagja and Dimmuborgir, with an opportunity to soak the day away in the Green Lagoon. You’ll also see the majestic waterfalls of Dettifoss, Selfoss, and Godafoss. The fourth day starts from Akureyri where your optional whale-watching boat tour sails from. A short detour away from the Ring Road will later bring us to the Vatnes peninsula, where the dragon-shaped sea stack Hvitserkur and the beautiful Kolugljufur canyon will be seen. The fifth day will see us in West Iceland taking in the weird and wonderful lava field waterfalls of Hraunfossar, the piping hot springs of Deildartunguhver, and inside the biggest lava cave in Iceland. On the last day, you will discover the amazing volcano Snaefellsjokull and you will also stop in some of the best coastline places that Iceland has to offer. Snaefellsjokull National Park is situated on the Snæfellsness peninsula, where you can find many famous sites including the magnificent glacier Snaefellsjokull, Djúpalónssandur beach, Lóndrangar (the two massive lava formations), Ytri Tunga, Arnarstapi and Hellnar. The maximum size of the group on this tour is 19, offering you a pleasant and carefree way to discover the country. Your night-time accommodation is included, so all you have to do is sit back and relish the experience. We’ll also give you all you need to know about the optional experiences that you can enjoy on the journey, including glacier hikes, whale watching, visits to an ice cave, lagoon boat tours, and soothing spa experiences.
